Netflix: The Gray Man Metaverse Experience
Inspired by the storyline of Netflix’s latest blockbuster “The Gray Man,” we developed an interactive experience that takes viewers on a mission in a new dimension: the metaverse.
The Gray Man Metaverse Mission challenges fans to navigate a maze in Decentraland to recover a drive with confidential information. Along the way, their knowledge of the film is tested with trivia questions, which leads to the final destination: a secret room where the special edition NFTs are revealed.
Race the maze
The experience invites users to complete the maze in the shortest period of time. Although there is one specific path which is set as the most efficient one, we gave users several ways of completing their mission as well as tricks they could discover to improve their time.
After completing the maze and entering the secret room, users can select between three NFT wearables based on the three iconic characters of the movie.

We believe in prototyping early and often, identifying problems, solutions, and opportunities while the idea is still being developed. This helps us bring the concept to life throughout immersive gameplay. While the idea is conceptualized in workshop sessions, prototyping within Decentraland is a critical step to understand and refine the real experience users will have.
